Know Your Numbers!
If math and accounting are not your thing, it is tempting to want to avoid your business numbers. Marketing, branding, and selling are often more exciting than digging into the numbers. However, knowing your numbers is critical to the success of your business.
I like to use the following example… What if your business is generating $10,000 per month in revenue? That sounds great and is something most of us would be extremely proud of! But, if your business is costing you $15,000 per month; that $10k doesn’t sound as good. Knowing your numbers means figuring out how much is coming in, how much is going out, what are your business cycles (months that generate more revenue versus those that generate less), and knowing how much one customer/sale costs you.
